WAC Colorscaping Onboarding and Specification

Showroom associate training, co-branded by Enlightening Sales and WAC Lighting

Sell and specify WAC Colorscaping, the hardwired RGBWW landscape system that runs on standard two-wire low-voltage cable. The outdoor living opportunity, the pitches for builders, designers and landscape architects, the design rules, the smart transformer and the three wiring rules, commissioning and the homeowner handoff, and the Good, Better, Best packaging with the discovery questions and the two objections. Every number comes from the Enlightening Sales guide and WAC's Colorscaping handout.

What you will be able to do
  • Explain why Colorscaping turns landscape lighting from a commodity into an outdoor living upgrade, and name the three things that set it apart, which are hardwired addressability over standard two-wire cable, no wireless interference, and RGBWW high-CRI tunable white.
  • Pitch Colorscaping to a custom home builder, an interior designer and a landscape architect in the language each one uses, with the color temperatures that match materials and plant species.
  • Apply the design rules, which are the three-layer visual hierarchy, the five techniques with their placements, outputs and beam spreads, and color temperature layering from 2700K to 4500K.
  • Specify the smart transformer with its two zones and shared capacity, name the core components, and state the three wiring rules, which are the 12-inch rule, continuous power and the 10 V minimum.
  • Walk an installer through commissioning, from the Wi-Fi check and the master account through fixture discovery by app or by panel, automations, schedules, holiday overrides and the ownership handoff.
  • Package a project as Good, Better, Best, run the three discovery questions, answer the two common objections, and say only what the course can source.
